I did a double take when I saw him walking toward me at Skidmore Fountain. Pockets is a dead ringer for his twin brother, Nolan, a faithful Street Books patron during the summer of 2011. It was good to get news of Nolan. Pockets checked out a western, just like his brother.

Local documentary filmmaker Travis Shields has been visiting the street library to get some film, and he's hoping to get a short documentary about us edited in time to submit to the NW Film Center. Check out his new blog, which features a photo of me taking a picture of Pamela. I'll let you know if his documentary is selected -- then we can all meet and watch it on the big screen.
Sue took the shift on Saturday at the Park Blocks, and reports that she had no less than eight (!) people waiting for her when she biked up. Many patrons returned books and checked out new ones, and new faces stopped in to see what was going on. Said, "Hey, I didn't know you'd be here during the week!" She'd finished the James Patterson book she checked out on Saturday, and later, just before I packed up for the day, she came back and checked out another. This time her dog wasn't so shy for the camera. She said she'd see me Saturday at the Park Blocks, to return both books.
