Mark Makes the Rounds
Mark made sure to stop by and say hello when he saw the Street Books library. He returned two books and made a donation of a small stack of comic books.
Tori Takes Two

There were a few detours on the waterfront esplanade today, but that didn't keep Desta from finding a book she liked in the Street Books library.

Jason found Fools Crow. He's originally from Kansas, but he beds down in Portland these days.

She told me I was awesome and asked if she could give me a hug, which of course I accepted.
You Don't Know Me
Alex found a comic book in our library and Street Books suddenly became very cool.
Three's Company (Heck, so is four or five).
Harley, Lisa and Tammy were like kids in a candy store. They each found a treasure to savor.
David, a Returning Patron
David has been up to visit with Redd on the Saturday shift, so the book trike was a welcome sight. He found two books: The House of Spirits by Isabel Allende and Garth Stein's The Art of Racing in the Rain.
Crowd at the Cart (part one)
The cart was bombarded today and the stop at Right to Dream Too was bustling with activity as the group had called a meeting to discuss their goals and ambitions for the future of their home site. Colete and Torry found a couple of books each. Torry is looking for The Alchemist, The Prophet and Atlas Shrugged. Jeremy requested the Encyclopedia of Modern Body Building and any nonfiction book about nutrition.
Ralph from Ruiz
He made his way through Texas up to Montana and Wyoming where he worked as a laborer. Apple-picking took him to Eastern Washington and working for the Forest Service on a tree planting crew was the best job he ever had. Bumping into Ralph was a fantastic way to start the shift.
A Fish Out of Water
Missy was on her was on her way to a morning appointment. She saw the cart and looked inside. Her eyes lit up when she saw a Dr. Seuss book, A Fish Out of Water. "Can I have this one? It reminds me of my kids."

He & his friends also had great suggestions for titles to stock in our library. Thanks for the great conversation, John.
Mark Met Ray Bradbury, Back in the Day
Said his father took him to a reading in California many years ago. He jumped at the chance to read the collection of some of Bradbury's best work.
Tina & Rainbow Found Good Books
Theirs was a motley crew that blew by the corner of 4th & Burnside, and merry conversations were had all around.
You Never Really Know
April used to own a flower shop in Astoria and she confided that you never really know how close you are to being without a home. The prospect of a good book helped cheer her a bit.

JJ wasn't interested in a book today so much, as he was interested in conversation.

Max and Robert and I encountered one another on Burnside. Even their dog, Walker was interested in the library. They took a couple books each.
