The Generosity of Dumpsta Dave, Honey Badger, Hue, Larry, and You

Greetings and happy spring.

Dumpsta Dave brings us books and Powells gift cards, Honey Badger brings flowers. Larry offers clothing to share and Hue gifts us packets of Vietnamese coffee. These are just a few of the ways Street Books library patrons support our librarians and other patrons every day at the library shifts.

As Street Books celebrates the beginning of our 15th year providing books and building community on the streets of Portland, we invite you to start a monthly, recurring donation or to consider a special gift to honor this milestone. Monthly donations provide steady income and enable us to plan throughout the year. If you are already a monthly sustainer, please consider increasing your gift to help Street Books into the future. Thank you for your great support!

We are currently at 26 new (or increased) monthly donors and our goal is to reach 40 during our Spring Campaign, April 1st - May 31st. Please join us to kick off our 15th anniversary year with a groundswell of support. Let’s pull together to sustain Street Books and our community!

Big thanks to all who attended the launch of our Spring Campaign at Up Up Books, featuring Omar El Akkad, Stephanie Adams-Santos and Josh Pollock. Thank you to our generous partner, Michelle Gutman, who hosts Street Books events and many others at her beautiful store

Thanks to all our bookstore partners who boost Street Books every day and especially during our Spring Campaign. This weekend (Friday-Sunday, 12-6pm), our partner Mitch at Melville Books has his annual spring cleaning sale and will donate 25% of proceeds to Street Books! On Saturday, April 26th, Street Books folks will be at Annie Bloom’s Books in Multnomah Village on Independent Bookstore Day. We'll be at Parallel Worlds Bookshop on Sunday, May 11th and they'll be accepting book donations for us and sharing 15% of sales May 10th and 11th to Street Books).

Can’t make it these specific days? You can support these bookstores throughout April and May and consider purchasing a book for Street Books for 10% off at Annie Bloom’s bookstore with this link. Thank you!
